Determination of maximum age from the probability distribution function of a growth parameter

Abstract

The present notes are motivated by the problem of trying to determine the maximum age of trees which we have under study in the northern part of Perú. The final objective of the project is to decipher the occurrence of El Niños in the past, witch should have been registered in its growth rings.
