Spectral moment estimation in MST radars

Abstract

Processing techniques for the estimation of the power, the frequency shift, and the spectral width of mesosphere-stratosphere-troposphere (MST) radar returns are presented. The differential techniques are compared in terms of statistical goodness of the estimators and in terms of computational convenience and simplicity.
