Abstract
El Comité Multisectorial encargado del Estudio Nacional del Fenómeno El Niño (ENFEN) cambió el Estado de Alerta a “No activo”, debido a la declinación del evento El Niño costero que se inició en la costa peruana en otoño del 2015. Continúa la fase de declinación del evento El Niño costero, el cual se manifiesta con la tendencia hacia la normalización en la región Niño 1+2 en la TSM, así como a lo largo de la costa del Perú, debido al inicio del arribo de la onda Kelvin fría y a los procesos de afloramiento ecuatoriales y costeros. En este proceso de declinación, se han presentado precipitaciones aisladas de moderada intensidad (15-40 mm/día) en Tumbes y Piura. Para lo que resta del mes de abril se espera que continúe el arribo de la onda Kelvin fría a la costa peruana, contribuyendo a la normalización de las condiciones oceanográficas. En la costa norte, para el resto de la temporada de lluvias se espera que continúen las precipitaciones dentro de su normal.
